Resumen:
Zooarchaeological information was used to understand changes in the human diet trough time in southern Mendoza province, Argentina. Those changes where explained by a decrease in the residential mobility pattern forced by the intensification in the use of resources and lately by the introduction of the first domesticated ca 2000 years BP. I this paper we revised the archaeofaunal tendencies crossing the zooarchaeological information whit the spatial distribution of the animal resources in the region. The result shows that the zooarchaeological assemblages have a stronger correlation with the altitude (environmental diversity) than with the temporal appearance of the domesticated. However, the archaeofaunal information as well as the human isotope data suggest that the residential mobility reduction postulated in the previous paper took place, modifying the the expected diversity distribution through the landscape.
