Resumen:
A great challenge of the forest sector is to find a balance between production and protection of woodlands. This aim is difficult to achieve when woodland deforestation and degradationcontinue to advance, despite all efforts of countries to protect their woodlands. Australia is working in this respect, in order that woods and their associated wildlife persist with urban development, advancement of agricultural landscapes and fragmented woodlands, amongst other factors. Regarding environmental changes caused by climate change and its lesser known effects, it is significant that the scientific community has joined with government agencies to generate a tool such as Temperate Woodland Conservation and Management.
