Resumen:
The structuration theory has been examined as critical theory sometimes, but I think that the laters Giddens' writtings change the buondaries and frame work to disscus about this topic. In my opinion, inasmuch, there are in these works all the elementes to re-think the link between, day-to-day life, the social sciences goals and emancipatories situations.  Briefly, in this presentation I propuse discuss how the laters Giddens books could be considered as Critical Theory, because they've been written in post empiricist context and beacause they've linked Philosophy with Social Theory.       Firsth, I want point out, about somes commons topics on Habermas and Giddens's theories, namely, 1) the double herme-neutic as central features of social sciences, 2) their critics to positivistic approach, 3) to make a critical re-construction of the historical materialism in order to explain the late modernity and 4) the relations between democracy, autonomy and emancipation.
