Resumen:
Plant perception of different pathogen-derived elicitors triggers the activation of phospholipase-C (PLC) signalling pathway, which is involved in the induction defence responses. PLC enzymes are enconded by gene families. Recently it was reported the identification of a PLC gene family in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) composed by six members named SlPLC1 to SlPLC6. It was demonstrated that SlPLC4 and SlPLC6 are involved in the induction of plant defence responses.
