Recently, within the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) has announced the creation of a regional accreditation agency.  This paper analyzes the emergence of higher education evaluation in Latin America and examines the systems of assessment and accreditation of higher education in Argentina and Brazil. I, here will focalized the processes of evaluation in the two countries because there are another paper whitch focus in regional integration, Mercosur and Bologna.
