Resumen:
Software is critical to astronomical research. Sharing and sustaining astronomicalsoftware has long-term impacts on scientific outcomes. However, support for this hasbeen uneven, creating significant risks. Thus, we highlight changes that will enable asustainable software sharing system for astronomy and astrophysics in the nextdecade.
