Resumen:
A new user-friendly software tool developed to predict the Translation Initiation Site on DNA sequences is presented. The architecture is generic, open and modular consisting of five modules. The architecture core is the PREDICT module where Translation Initiation Sites are predicted by means of a simple heuristic rule and AdaBoost classifiers. A ranking of potential Translation Inititation Sites and corresponding p-values are provided to the user. An intuitive visualization of potential coding regions across the sequences under study are also provided. All results are shown in an embedded browser. The problem of Translation Initiation Sites on T. Cruzi genomic sequences is considered.
