This paper aims to reconstruct the activities displayed by Italians resident in Argentina to support their country´s war effort during WWI, as well as the internal debates around it. It will also attempt to reflect on that community´s complex process of identity construction, based on their connections with the country of origin and, at the same time, on their successful integration into the local society.
