Resumen:
Presentación de PosterAmong the microorganisms that are able to develop under extreme conditions the thermophilic and acidophilic archaea have attracted considerable attention because of their particular physiology . The  geothermal Copahue volcano in Neuquén-Argentina includes hot springs and water areas with high temperature and low pH values. It is a very interesting system to be studied as a source of microorganisms with potential applications in bioleaching processes. The aim of this wok was the detection and identification of archaea in several sites of this area.
