Resumen:
Satellite imagery was used to gain knowledge on spatial distribution, over a fine spatial scale, of the Patagonian small octopus and to relate it with environmental variables of significance (low tide line and extension of the rocky shore). Octopus distribution was obtained from coastal survey data from 2005-2007, and coastal line was redrawn from remote-sensed CBERS images. Distances from octopus locations to the near point of the low tide line were calculated. This allowed us to identify a seasonal pattern and evaluate the way in which this distance influences octopuses distribution
