Resumen:
Microbial colonization on decomposing litter affects both decay rates and litter nutrient content. In aquatic environments, inundation regime directly modify decomposition processes. Climate change prediction point to the intensification of droughts in some areas. This could affect decay rates and nutrient content through defferential effects on the microorganisms growing on litter.
