Resumen:
Amorphous ribbons with the composition of Finemet-type alloys were fabricated with the planar flow casting technique. A set of alloys with the composition equivalent to that of the remaining amorphous phase of nanocrystalline Finemet-type alloys were also casted. Both series of alloys were studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy, which was able to detect a small fraction of crystalline a-Fe in some of the alloys. Variations were found in the spectra due to differences in the chemical compositions of the alloys.
