Resumen:
A set of Finemet type ribbons was prepared by the planar flow casting and a subsequent heat treatment. Here, the refractory element, i.e. Nb, was gradually replaced by Mo in order to observe the effects by means of Mössbauer spectroscopy. Some of the properties were systematically modified: the amorphous fraction decreased, whereas the Si content in the nanocrystals increased. Moreover, a maximum on the A23 parameter was observed in the samples with mixed refractory elements (Nb+Mo). In addition, the chemical composition of the remaining amorphous phase was estimated.
