Resumen:
This paper describes and interprets a metal dog collar recovered from the hMs Swift shipwreck (1770), in Puerto Deseado (santa cruz province, argentina), by the Underwater archaeology Programme of the argentinean national institute of anthropology. The original function, manufacturing process and subsequent modifications to the piece are discussed.
