Resumen:
The Tandilia belt is one of the rare oucrop regions of thec. 2 Ga old crust of the Rio de la Plata craton. Its composed of an igneous-metamorphic basement covered by Neoproterozoic to Lower Paleozoic marine siliciclastic and carbonatic deposits.During the last years a systematic geothermobarometry study of the SE portion of this belt in the areas of Cinco Cerros,El Cristo and San Verán hills allowed us to constraint  a plausible geodynamic scenario for the Paleoproterozoic evolution this orogen. On this work we aimed to decipher a different P-T path to contribute to the proposed geodynamic escenario. For this reason we studied suitables rocks for thermodinamic modeling of the El Quebracho hill, which are near the supossed El Cortijo suture-zone.
