Resumen:
We present an approximation method for the solution of the field equations in general relativity, applied to a binary system of compact objects. The compact objects are studied in terms of a particle paradigm. The scheme includes a link between the local physical properties of the compact objects with the asymptotic data. In particular, the equations of motion for the compact objects take into account the back reactions due to gravitational radiation. Numerical results for a set of initial conditions are reported.
