Resumen:
Interacting bodies produce gravitational waves (1916, Einstein).These waves satisfy the Ricci flat equations but on the other hand they carry away energy, momentum and angular momentum.We now know what is meant by gravitational radiation and how to relate to the motion of the sources.In this review we give an overview of the work done by the AGWG to construct the waveform produced by isolated compact objects, to define global variables as center of mass and intrinsic angular momentum and to describe its dynamics.
