Resumen:
Breat cancer is the principal cause of death in women affected by many types of cancers, and is the second most frequent tumor, behing only skin tumors. Trace elements play an essential role for the maintenance of life once they regulate a large number of metabolic processes in the body. However, when they are in alterated concentrations may be associated with neoplasms. In this work, microscope areas of normal and neoplastics breast samples using the technique of x-ray microfluorescence in order to find correlations between trace elements Ca, Fe, Cu and Zn and histological slices.
