Resumen:
Magnetoresistive Cu90Co10 alloys are synthesized by twin roller melt spinning at tangential wheel speeds between 5 m/s and 20 m/s to obtain different solute distributions and Co-rich precipitate size distributions. X ray diffraction indicates that the ribbons are polycrystalline with a Cu(Co) (fcc) (200) textured matrix and small Co rich precipitates. Magnetic measurements show that the ribbons exhibit a small coercivity even at room temperature. This small coercivity is analized in terms of a superparamagnetic behavior modified by large interactions and also as arising in ferromagnetic Co-rich regions in the Cu matrix.
