Resumen:
Quantum charge pumping in carbon-based materials is a very active area of research [1,2]. The generation of a dc current at zero bias voltage by ac driving of a sample is an interesting phenomenon which allows to probe the role of symmetries in transport. While most of the previous studies are focused on transport through samples without disorder, here we analyze the influence of topological defects on pumping through carbon nanotubes/graphene nanoribbons. To such end we use realistic models combined with the calculation of Green´s functions. Our results show that defects could dramatically enhance the pumped charge.
