Resumen:
Graphene research is a fast growing field of opportunities covering a transversal research landscape from basic science to technology. Here, we focus on the possibility of tuning the electronic and transport properties of graphene through illumination with a laser field. Our driving question is: Is it possible to induce bandgaps in graphene through laser illumination? Can those gaps be observed? In this chapter we extend a previous work on this subject while giving a broader and updated introduction to this fascinating field.
