Resumen:
This work presents the status of the high energy resolutionsystem that is being currently commissioned in the XRFbeamline of the LNLS.A high energy resolution system for detecting characteristicradiation, based in a wavelength dispersive system, is currentlymounted and in the final stages of commissioning in theXRF beamline of the LNLS.The module was tested many times with a conventionalx-ray tube and then mounted in the beamline in order to beused as a routine experiment of the line. The system has beenmounted on a special device placed in the beamline. This deviceallows fine movements in order to align the module veryprecisely. This is a critical point to get the best available resolution. The radius of the Rowland Circle of the spectrometeris 140 mm, the detector is a proportional counter one with a300 microns windows. Currently a Si(111) crystal is beingused and the resolution of the angular stage is 0.0170. Theenergy resolution strongly depends on the dimensions of theincident beam. A final configuration of 0.1 mm (horizontal)and 0.5 mm (vertical) was adopted.
