Resumen:
In this work, SBA-15 support was impregnated with nickel in order to study the influence of different factors (metal content, support, method of preparation) on their hydrogen storage capacity. H2 adsorption was measured at low and high pressures (up to 10 and 40 bar) at 77 and 293 K, evaluating the influence of metallic nickel on such adsorption capacity. The properties of the prepared materials were studied by N2 adsorption-desorption, XRD, TPR, UVeVis, TEM, SEM and XPS techniques. The results indicated the importance of the nickel dispersion on the support to improve hydrogen storage. Thus, Ni/SBA-15 (2.5) sample, in contrast to Ni/SBA-15 (2.5)-R, shows the higher hydrogen adsorption capacity at both 77 K and 293 K.
