A newsynchrotronbeamlineend-stationformultipurposeX-rayspectrometryapplicationshasbeenrecentlycommissionedanditiscurrentlyaccessiblebyend-usersattheXRFbeamlineofElettraSin-crotroneTrieste.Theend-stationconsistsofanultra-highvacuumchamberthatincludesasmainin-strument aseven-axismotorizedmanipulatorforsampleanddetectorspositioning,differentkindsofX-raydetectorsandopticalcameras.Thebeamlineend-stationallowsperformingmeasurementsindifferent X-rayspectrometrytechniquessuchasMicroscopicX-RayFluorescenceanalysis(mXRF), TotalReflection X-RayFluorescenceanalysis(TXRF),GrazingIncidence/ExitX-RayFluorescenceanalysis(GI-XRF/GE-XRF), X-RayReflectometry(XRR),andX-RayAbsorptionSpectroscopy(XAS).ALabVIEWGra-phical UserInterface(GUI)boundwithTangocontrolsystemconsistedofmanycustommadesoftwaremodules isutilizedasauser-friendlytoolforcontroloftheentireend-stationhardwarecomponents.Thepresent workdescribesthisadvancedTangoandLabVIEWsoftwareplatformthatutilizesinanoptimalsynergistic mannerthemeritsandfunctionalityofthesewell-establishedprogrammingandequipmentcontrol tools.
