This volume contains the papers presented at the 7th IEEE Latin Amer-ican Symposium on Circuits and Systems (LASCAS-2016) held on February27-March 1, 2016 in Florianopolis, Brazil. It was a pleasure for us to serve asLASCAS-2016 program chairs.This year the conference received 203 submissions from 38 countries, 25 ofthem outside IEEE Region 9 (Latin America). This is an indication that LAS-CAS has established as one of the key international annual meetings of the IEEECircuits and Systems Society. The nal program consists of 99 papers selectedafter the review process with topics ranging from fundamental theoretical con-tributions to applications in the general areas of circuits and systems.We deeply thank the 222 reviewers for their hard work and the General Chairsand all members of the organizing team for a streamline organization and papermanagement process. We also thank our colleagues that have volunteered toserve as session chairs.Finally, special thanks go to the authors who chose to submit their work tothe conference, thus contributing to an exciting technical program to LASCAS,the 2016 agship event of the Circuits and Systems society in Region 9.We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful city of Florianopolis and wehope that you will have a intellectually stimulating and enjoyable LASCAS 2016!
