Resumen:
Genuine full-duplex operation requires effective mitigation of selfinterference(SI) arising from simultaneous transmission and receptionat the same frequency band. In addition to its well-known harmfuleffect on signals of high peak-to-average power ratio, the nonlinearbehavior of a power amplifier (PA) complicates SI cancellationand induces spectral regrowth. It is introduced in this work a digitalpredistortion architecture that linearizes the response of the PA in afull-duplex transceiver. Specifically, it is proposed a two-step procedureto estimate the predistorter parameters and the SI cancellercoefficients. Different from a direct application of conventional predistorters, the proposed architecture does not need an extra RF chainto estimate the PA response and exploits the inherent SI signal instead. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed schemeis able to increase significantly the signal-to-interference-plus-noiseratio at the transceiver output and to reduce out-of-band emissionswhen compared to linear and nonlinear cancellation without predistortion.
