Resumen:
In this paper we analyse the real-time scheduling theory from a control theory perspective. We get the state-space of a real-time system to show how the different control techniques were applied to real-time scheduling. We show that hard real-time systems are characterised by a complex nonlinear, time-variant control dynamic that have to be managed with robust control techniques. These control properties justify that schedulability analysis are based on the worst-case of load to assure the robustness of the system. On the other hand, when systems are considered to be soft real-time ones, then either adaptive and optimal control techniques can be applied to schedule them.
