Resumen:
The registration of the eye movements is turning into a commontechnique in games, business, marketing, science, etc. The evolutionof the camera technology has given a great momentum allowing theapplication of the technique in diverse scenarios. In this contributionwe perform a careful discussion about the information obtainedwhen eye-tracking a person. We will show that the dynamic of theeye-ball and crystalline lenses is registered when using camera withhigh enough time resolution to perform analysis over the results. Asimple model consisting in a damped harmonic oscillator for thedynamic is presented, designed to better understand the dynamicsof eye movements. Parameters as the damping of the system andthe elasticity of the eye muscles are determined. On the other hand, using different paradigms, it is possible to explore the memory of aperson and also detecting attention problems. In this contribution weexplore different strategies used to explore attention and we discusshow eye-tracking can substantially improve the way of measuring it.
