Resumen:
Green mobile networks are essential to enable sustainable growth of future communications systems. Communication transceivers with reduced-power consumption and high-spectral efficiency will enable suitable connectivity while maintaining user access costs at accessible levels. The term ?green? in our caserefers to devices of low implementation cost but that is efficient from two points of view: energy consumption and use of radio spectrum. Based on the premise ofspectral efficiency, this chapter describes spectrum access techniques, in particularfull-duplex and massive communication techniques. It is worth to mention that these techniques are presented in a realistic scenario considering RF front-end imperfections always present in low-cost units. Furthermore, a performance study of these  systems is also presented. On the other hand, in order to improve energy capabilities,  the more challenging context of massive MIMO systems is studied.
