Resumen:
In the north of the Sierra de Guasapampa, mylonitic gneises and mylonitized tonalitic dykes and quartz mylonites in minor proportions were identified. The analysis of deformation mechanisms of quartz, plagioclase, muscovite, biotite and chlorite, suggests that the deformation would have taken place in metamorphic conditions of medium to low grade (500°-300°C) from amphibolite to greenschist facies. Five deformational events have been recognized, the last two are related to a transition from ductile to brittle deformation.
