Analysis of associations of clay minerals in Cretacic-Neogene sequences in the Cordón de laFlecha, La Rioja, Argentina. Clay minerals associations were studied in the Cretaceous-Neogene successions from Cordón de La Flecha, through X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD)on oriented aggregates of the <0.2 μm and <2 μm fractions. Results allowed to separateprocesses associated with paleoenvironmental conditions from those related to the burialhistory.
