Resumen:
A hexaedrite meteorite from the Sierra de Famatina, La Rioja province, was studied on the basis of structural and mineral chemistry data. Three mineral phases were identified: kamacite [α (Fe,Ni)] >>taenite [γ(Fe, Ni)] >schreibersite (Fe,Ni)3P. It is mineralogically similar to some bodies
fallen in Campo del Cielo, Chaco-Santiago del Estero provinces.
