A simple physical representation for saccadic eye movement data

In this paper we employ a driven harmonic oscillator to satisfactorily describedata corresponding to ocular movements produced during a visual searchtask. The data is acquired with an EyeLink 1000. We describe the details of the oscillationsin the eye?s rotation angles in between 4 and 40 degrees observed beforeand after the saccadic and microsaccadic moments. We perform an analysis of theefficiency in the use of the energy of the associated harmonic oscillator.
