Resumen:
The Schrödinger equation for the electron impact ionization of hydrogen (e-H) is solved by means of the Generalized Sturmian Method introduced recently [1]. The method is based on the expansion of the scattered portion of the wave function in terms of numerically generated two-body Sturmians functions, which satisfies (fixed energy) outgoing-flux boundary conditions nd includes the Coulomb logarithmic distortion. It is shown that the scattering wave function has the appropriate outgoing behavior in the radial hyper spherical coordinate. Cross sections present excellent agreement with previous methods used in the literature.
