Resumen:
Vertebrate accumulations in carnivore dens – namely foxes – have been studied in the Puna of north-west Argentina. While scatological assemblages consist exclusively of small vertebrates, especially rodents, transported ones are dominated by large mammals, namely ungulates. These and other differences, and their implications with regard to the archaeological record, are presented.
