Resumen:
This study examined the comprehension of instructions as a function of modality of presentation(verbal, pictorial, multimedia) and task complexity (3 or 5 steps). One hundred andseventeen participants were asked to comprehend and execute instructions on assemblingobjects. Results indicated faster times for processing instructions in pictorial and multimediainstruction, but in pictorial condition they made more errors during assembling thanin the other two conditions. In conclusion, instructions were particularly facilitated in themultimedia presentation.
