Resumen:
This study examined comprehension of scientific expository contents, presented in hypertext format, as a function of hypertext structure, previous knowledge, online navigation experience, and WM capacity. Effects of previous knowledge replicated previous findings. Participants with high navigation experience reading under a hierarchical structure had better comprehension than all other groups. WM capacity made no difference when navigation was hierarchical, but with a network structure, better comprehension was achieved by high WM capacity users.
