Front propagation in epidemiological models with spatial dependence

We present two kinds of epidemiological models with spatio-temporal dependence in orderto describe the spread of infectious diseases. We include a space and time dependent contactterm, substituting the constant contact coecient used in typical models. Periodic temporal modulationsof some parameters corresponding to some epidemic features are considered in orderto analyze the possibility of pattern-propagation-like phenomena related to the infectivity andrecovery fronts and the surge of travelling waves.
