Influence of Pd on the structural properties of Ce-based mixed oxides nanotubes

In the present work, we report on the preparation of Pd/ZrO2-CeO2 and Pd/CeO2-Gd2O3 mixed oxide nanotubes using such a technique. The nanotubes were synthesized using a commercial polycarbonate membrane (with pore size of 800 nm) as a template. In order to determine the effect of Pd incorporation on structural properties, the resulting nanotubes were characterized by employing synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction (SR-XRD) and scanning and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (SEM and HRTEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).
