Ordered mesoporous structure of zirconia-based oxide hybrids

In this study, the synthesis was performed with anhydrous CeCl3 and ZrCl4 precursors, using the triblock copolymer Pluronic P123. The Ce/Zr atomic composition was 0.5 and 0.9. The samples present the (100) diffraction peak of a bi-dimensional hexagonal structure. The ordered mesostructure was destroyed after the polymer removal by calcination at 540°C in N2 atmosphere (1°C/min, for 6 hours in air). Therefore, this work aimed to analyze the calcination process by in-situ SAXS and XRD measurements, in order to understand the changes in the material structural properties.
