At present a wide set of Y-chromosome specific STRs has been well characterized. World wide populations were sampled in numerous multicenter studies providing complete haplotype data. In order to evaluate the haplotype distribution in different areas or Argentina, northern , midland and southern populations were sampled and analyzed in order to generate local population database.
