Resumen:
Since 1992, sequence information of the mtDNA hypervariable regions I and II provided a robust tool for identification purposes relevant for the forensic science. At present statistical evaluation of mtDNA sequence information is being investigated by different forensic labs. In order to analyze Argentinean population, one hundred samples were sequenced.
