Resumen:
Production ofsustainable nanocomposites from totally renewable resources with extraordinarypotential for different applications can be made possible using bacterialcellulose. Nanocomposites based on bacterial cellulose and biobased epoxy resinwere prepared using a vacuum assisted method. In order to evaluate the compatibilitybetween matrix and reinforcement, nanocomposites from no modified and acetylatedcellulose were made. The effects of treatment on the chemical structure, morphology and transparency were studied by fourier transformed infraredspectroscopy (FTIR), electron microscopy (SEM) and UV-visible. Nanocompositesshowed better mechanical properties with increasing acetylated cellulosecontent without significant loss of transparency.
