E. analoga has been proposed as a possible biological indicator of environmental changes, such as the ENSO (“El Niño” Southern Oscillation) and therefore object of numerous studies. We did a bibliographic research in both formal and “grey” literature.  We found that the biological knowledge is fragmentary and incomplete, particularly in the following topics:
