VICAM (Argentina): "Conservation and sustainable use of camelids (vicuñas and lamas) to improve local livelihoods in the Andean Altiplano"- Knowledge: Recovering the ancestral method of vicuña capture, shearing and release, and the traditional technologies for spinning vicuña and lama fiber- Institutionalization: Collaboration with local institutions for locally producing camelids´ fibre garments which can promote poverty alleviation for the indigenous communities- Value: Aiming to achieve a justice on values of vicuña fibre between the locals and international market. Helping to market the llama garments to tourists in local towns and cities. - (Ecosystem restoration): Trying to protect vicuña from poaching. Increasing the number of camelids that are low impact grazers in the high Andean grasslands
