Resumen:
The aim of this chapter is to present research on youth perceptions concerning llama caravans. This data was collected between 2014 and 2018 from school children at Santa Catalina, Argentina, where llama caravans arrive, and from the young Bolivian boys who travel with the caravans. We also used this data to develop educational material about caravans. It is a well-known fact, and one reflected in this book, that caravan travel is a critically threatened practice in the present day, and llama (Lama glama) caravans arriving at the fair in Santa Catalina (Jujuy province, northwestern Argentina) from Northern Lipez in Bolivia are no exception (Vilá 2018).
