Resumen:
The performance of interconnection and dampingassignment strategy applied to speed control of Permanent MagnetSynchronous Motors is analyzed. It is noted that closed loopperformance depends on interconnection and damping valuesinjected by the controller. Certain designs produce nonlinear andcoupled dynamics. When it is the case, the motor performanceis degraded since direct current loop is adversely affected by thespeed one. Then, from the nominal performance point of viewsome selections behave better than other ones. It is demonstratedthat interconnection and damping assignment degrees of freedomcan be used for improving the nominal performance. Interconnectionassignment is calculated for constructing speed and directcurrent decoupled loops. In this case, tracking error dynamicsbecomes linear and its convergence speed can be adjusted byusing the injected damping. Additionally, it is established thatinterconnection and damping assignment strategy attaining twodecoupled tracking error dynamics loops results in feedbacklinearization.
