Resumen:
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men whose metastases is characterized by a predilection for bone tissue and an osteoblastic reaction. Several studies involved vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the pathophysiology of bone metastasis of prostate cancer. The heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) is a key protein in the control of inflammation and has recently demonstrated that it is associated with prostate carcinogenesis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the induction of HO-1 on the regulation of genes related to metastasis of prostate cancer. We used PCa cell lines sensitive (LNCaP) and insensitive to androgens, in which we induced mRNA expression of HO-1 with hemin (290% LNCaP, PC3% 2885, P
