Resumen:
From a simple time dependent tight-binding model we calculate the absorption spectra of a series of metallic nanoparticles of varying size and shape. The frequency of the absorption maximum is found to scale linearly with the surface to volume ratio of the particle, with a slope and intercept which depends on particle shape. We also find that for spherical particles the position of the maximun in spectrum is invariant with the size. The frecuency of resonance of large clusters shift to higher values when the cluster is more spherical.
