Resumen:
A new record for the Argentinean flora, Samanea tubulosa, is described and illustrated. The specimenswere collected in Oran, Salta Province, Argentina, in the Selvas Pedemontanas district of theYungas phytogeographic province. Comments on the systematic position of the species and relatedgenera are given.
